Greetings!
I'm nervous/excited/anxious/ecstatic to share that you can now order the e-book & paperback for my new novel 'Til the Cows Come Home on Amazon!
If you order a copy, the e-book will be delivered straight to your Kindle device now. The paperback is print-on-demand, so it will likely be January before you receive a physical copy.
If you're a person that likes physical books (that's me!), then I will also have limited physical copies on hand in January. Additionally, I am working with a separate printing company at the moment so that I can have more copies available, so stay tuned! These will all be signed.
Did you hear? You can now buy my books directly from my author bookshop!
This is a big deal for an indie author, because that means we can make the buying experience more personalized and we can also keep a little bit more of the royalties for each book. A win-win situation!
I will have print and e-book copies of my novel available in my author bookshop! The e-book version is available now and can be delivered to your Kindle or other e-reading device via BookFunnel. The process is really easy and seamless.
A little tidbit about publishing...
My novel ended up around 475 pages (90,000+ words), which is something I didn't expect.
For perspective, novels are typically anywhere between 50,000 to 120,000 words. Most quick romance reads in Kindle Unlimited tend to be in the 50,000 to 60,000 range (sometimes 40,000). Most epic fantasy reads are 90,000 and above. I was shooting for 60,000 with this book, just because most of the story was already complete at 20,000 when I began writing (or at least I thought).
But I added a second point-of-view (Maddy is my main character, C.J. is a secondary main character). And the story has become much more robust.
I'm still a little anxious about how a novel outside genre conventions will be received. If you read the book, I would appreciate feedback! It helps me refine my writing process.
I know my toxic trait is I'm a bit of a chatty-Cathy, because the first novel I wrote and completed ended up at around 130,000 words unedited! (That one is still unpublished, by the way. We'll see if it ever sees the light of day.) A lot of words get cut in the editing phase for both traditional and independently published books. I cut some scenes, but maybe could have cut more? You tell me.
Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the next project. Onwards into the new year!
Thanks for sticking with me. Please share the book with anyone interested in contemporary rom-coms!
